2002 Camry LE Oil Filter Location
I'm used to doing my own oil/filter changes but I can't find the oil filter on my 2002 Camry LE and I'd rather not purchase a manual to find out. Can anyone help me?

It's in your owners manual that comes with the car.

While this information is not in your Owners Manual, and I can't tell
you with certainty which side, look on the side of the engine just
above the point where the oil pan meets the engine block possibly on
the back side. It's there!

Wow. I could never imagine fitting an oil filter inside an owners manual.

Re: 2002 Camry LE Oil Filter Location
From memory, on my ex-girlfriend's '02 (4 cyl auto), it was located
upside down and in the front/side of the oil pan. If you go under the
front of the car and look up to the passenger side of the pan, you
will see it. The oil pan has a circular cutout for it on one edge and
it is up in there. I suggest a cap-type wrench as it is tight quarters
for another type of oil filter wrench, but it is easy to do with that
type of wrench and a socket handle. I did hers without a lift and it
is near the oil pan drain nut. I prefer my 99's location but it really
isn't as hard as some cars, like my Focus, that is mounted on the back
of the engine.
