Dodge: 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan oil light

My wife's 1998 Grand Caravan's oil light comes on when the van is sitting
still and in drive. I have had the oil changed and even double checked the
oil level but the light continues to come on. Now it has started coming on
even if we put the van in nutural. It seems that it only comes on after
the van has been running awhile and is getting hot. Has anyone else
experienced this or know how to remedy it.

Assuming you maintain this vehicle properly, the chances of the problem
being a faulty oil sending unit is highly the cause, have someone check the
oil pressure manually with an external pressure gauge, if the reading is
good, replace the sending unit
