Corvette: 1973 power windows

The ground that goes to the drivers side power window does not work. My
window is half open and I would like to be able to close it. My question
is the contacts that are on the motor are they both grounds or is one
hot and one ground. Since the hot wire is ok can I just ground one of
the contacts on the motor to close the window. If I can where do I
ground it. Will the chassis be ok. Thank you

Yes, you can do that and yes, the chassis is fine.
