1/8 Mile To 1/4 Mile Conversion
Anyone know a webpage that converts 1/8 mile numbers to 1/4 mile numbers?
Thanks in advance,

Fascinating. But doesn't this ASSume a consistency in the (pretend) second
half of the run that may or may not be in effect?
Or, in other words, do all of the variables take place in the first 1/8th
mile, such that the 2nd 1/8th becomes utterly predictable?
Or, as I think about it a little more, is Patrick having trouble finding a
REAL dragstrip down in Florida?

Glad to help.
Not all the time, it's just the rainy season. D-oh!
Welcome to the tropics.
You'll get used to it sooner or later. A/C is a way of life.
You mean summer. By the end of this month you should see some nicer
weather. But watch out - hurricane season doesn't end for a few more
months. Btw, we're coming into peak hurricane time right now. I also
see you're about to get drenched again.
Glad to hear it. Life _is_ good. Could be a helluva lot worse. We
could be living in Cali-Land!
Sounds good. Hey, at least you're at sea level. Even with the 97%
humidity. Just wait until February - you'll love it.

Thanks. It's somewhat comforting to know others are experiencing the
same pain. Florida would be better for me if I would have moved here
from when I lived in Virginia. But coming from NM, the weather here
is crappy.
I am. She likes it here. She likes the small town living for a
change.
Exactly. But I like to think of the 1/8 this way. It's like street
racing without the cops around. Roll up to a light, blip the
throttle, wait for green, then hammer it through 2 gears and a bit in
third gear, then shut it down. Race over, we have a victor! But the
worries of a red and blue lights showing up in your rear view never
happen. Ahhh... street-racing nirvana.
Always looking for the positive things in life,

It's
fun
You think the weather is crappy? Have you gone through Love Bug Week yet?
Seems there's another one coming up soon.
(...as opposed to the huge metroplex you were living in before...)
Must be

on
Sure, but you don't get any of the thrills of street racing. No small
animals or children (which I'd rank as 1a and 1b), no men or women pushing
strollers out into the street before looking both ways to see if it's safe
for themselves, no cars pulling out of side streets without slowing. No, not
even a squirrel doing the suicide mambo. Where's the fun?
Hope you find some one day. 'Course, there'd probably be no living with you
if you did...

Yes, I believe it has started down here. Just got done with
caterpillar week last week. Damn things destroy two of my favorite
plants in the yard... took 'em but three-four days to chew 'em up.
Little bastards!
Yeah, Izmir Turkey was about 3-4 million, Albuquerque was like a
million, Anakara Turkey about 5-6 million, and Hampton Roads in VA was
pretty big area too. This is the first time we've been in a small
town in 20 years. It's nice. Crime is LOW here!! Don't have to
worry about if your car will still be there when you come back.
lol I guess you could always mow down some folks on the return road.
C'mon... you're ruining it for me. Think positive... 1/8 mile is
good... the 1/8 mile is fun...
It's not that I don't find positive things, it's just that when I do
find them, I think they could always be better... gotta have high
standards...
