Re: 04 Corolla S
ha - I like he "gave it to me" --- doubt there are any
dealers out there that give anything away. If you traded in
a car he surely made up any difference there! Free
inspections and car washes are to get you back to dealer for
anything but free servicing. Don't get me wrong - I
prefered dealers for required maintenance --- they just seem
to pad the problems found with too much that merely lines
their pockes -- the $120 trans flush, the gotta replace
rotors when we do the brake pads, $1400 for new struts.

The big failing of the standard sound systems in most cars are the
speakers. One would be amazed at the improvement in the overall sound
quality you can gain by replacing the factory speakers. For under
$300, installed, you can have a 4 speaker system that would please
most listeners. Note, I'm not talking about the heavy bass boom boom
systems that most teens think is music. I'm talking about a well
balanced sound that will serve most types of music.

One has to ask the obvious question: How much over suggested retail
was the dealer's first quote? Hahahaha
