Hyundai: 01 Elantra,Air bag light keeps coming on

It's hard to judge the repair without having the trouble code, but I've had
improve the contact in the connectors for the seat air bags on several
cars. It's important that the wiring be held relatively still and the
connector be clipped into the connector holder when this is done. Also,
try not to keep items under your front seats that could contact the seat
bottoms. These can contact the connector and jostle it enough to make a
change in the contact resistance. The air bag system is very sensitive to
this and, while I don't think it should cause the lamp to come on, it can't
hurt to do it.

My light cme on when I removed the fuse thinking that I might be able to
reset a chck engine light problem upon which the air bag light also came on.
Thus, the problem might also exist at the fuse end if that has corrosion or
a loose contact.

2. No power to module or module unplugged.

If you have a trouble code, you already know what type of problem exists
(low voltage, deployment, internal module failure, excessive resistance on
a particular circuit, etc.).

The battery is failing in my XG350L with 25000 miles. Very slow
cranking when starting. Volts look good but I think it would fail a
load test. Never left any lights on or had a problem until just
recently. Hyundai pro-rates the battery after the 2 year free
replacment period. Any idea (HYUNDAITECH) what it will cost if I have
Hyundai replace it? I have read on here that the Hyundai batteries are
complete crap so if they are charging anything excessive I will buy my
own and install it. The OEM battery 600 CCA is kind of low for Chicago
winters anyway. I was looking at an Interstate 800 CCA made
specifically for the reverse terminal foreign batteries like Hyundai
uses.

Recommendations? Thoughts?
